Field Operations is a new team at DoorDash focused on a breadth of on-the-ground initiatives from executing projects to launch new merchants to conducting in-store fact-finding to improve the quality of our grocery, convenience and alcohol business.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Market Manager who is excited to dive deep into how our merchant partners operate and how to set up our Dashers for success in our new verticals. The Market Manager is experienced and collaborative who can understand processes at the lowest level of detail. This person is also excited to break down existing processes, redevelop them to optimize for efficiency/effectiveness, and create SOPs so that your new process can be scaled. The Market Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and is also expected to lead a team of contractors, by owning all aspects of people management from training to performance management.

- Build and scale process that make shopping more efficient for our Dashers
- Break down an ambiguous operation and turn it into one that is efficient, structured, and scalable
- Oversee contractors and Operations Associates with daily and project-based activities
- Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results for the team to meet our needs
- Hire and train members of the team while promoting and creating an excellent operation
- Work with other teams (Quality, Dasher, Local Operations) to support process and product changes that improve the Grocery, Convenience and Alcohol organization
We're excited about you because...
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management
- 1 or more years of people management experience
- Excellent Excel skills (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and willing to learn SQL
- Experience leading projects, working and succeeding in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree required
