About the Team

The Consumer Strategy & Operations team’s mission is to sustainably accelerate Marketplace growth. Using a customer-obsessed approach, we own market strategy, consumer affordability, partnerships, new value propositions, and the Marketplace homepage.

About the Role

We are hiring a Manager to lead strategy development and implementation of an improved pricing structure in order to make the platform more affordable.  This role will report to the Head of Consumer. We expect this role to be hybrid with some time in-office and some time remote.

While there is no typical day for our Strategy and Operations roles, you will work on a variety of tasks such as: gathering and analyzing consumer and pricing data, translating your insights into a high-level vision and operational plan, and delivering the plan both by “do-ing” and leading cross-functional teams.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Strategise - you will devise and execute the optimal pricing strategy for our customers and business, considering overall fees, menu prices, and marketing strategy
  • Build - you will optimize fee structures locally through hands-on operational levers and launch new products though collaboration with international teams
  • Deliver impact - through optimized pricing structure, you will create value for our consumers and the business, seeing tangible and immediate results
  • Work daily with a broad team - you will lead Australia’s Affordability workstream, collaborating with other S&O teams, finance strategy, analytics, product and more

We’re excited about you because you have…

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, product, technology, banking, analytics or related experience.
  • Strong business acumen - you are able to identify the “so what” from data, interdependencies between teams, and translate them into an operational strategy
  • You operate at the lowest level of detail. You are a relentless problem solver and a “do-er”, but you are just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, comfortable in a highly-visible role, you can collaborate and influence effectively and ‘set-the-pace’ for the rest of the business
  • Proven analytical skills and can deliver actionable recommendations; advanced Excel skills are required and competency in SQL and dashboards is preferred.
