About the Team

It's an exciting time to join our rapidly growing Accounting team with ample opportunities to leverage your technical knowledge and work cross-functionally. We're looking for a Head of Payroll to work with cross functional business partners to further develop and enhance our payroll operations both domestically and internationally.

About the Role

You will report to the Assistant Controller and work closely with our HRBP as well as Legal team to build state of the art payroll operations in a fast growing environment. You will provide oversight to ensure that our daily payroll operations and processes are accurate and seamless, and our processes are in compliance with internal controls, tax regulations and applicable labor laws. You will also be the main contact to provide any payroll related advice for any compensation strategy, M&A related activities and international expansions. Once our offices reopen, we expect this role to be 100% remote.

  • Deliver accurate and timely processing of our payroll in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and legislative compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term payroll strategies, including implementing solutions that will make our payroll process more efficient.
  • Develop and lead a team of payroll professionals, develop proper desk top procedures documentation and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Partner cross functionally, including HR, Compensation, Legal, and Finance to provide payroll related advice to support the company's initiatives.
  • Be the go-to person for the business partners for anything payroll operations.

  • You have 10+ years of experience working in the field of payroll operations.
  • Subject matter expert in payroll processing and compliance, both domestic and international.
  • Experience in leading payroll system implementation.
  • A leader in cross functional projects involving payroll ops, providing sound advice for payroll implications.
  • Detailed oriented in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
  • Customer service oriented to ensure employees' concerns are addressed timely.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $136,800 - $205,200, plus opportunities for equity and commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
