About the Team

The Client Engineering team builds the solutions that enable collaboration across the enterprise. We engineer and oversee identity management, build and manage client platforms, and implement and administer all collaboration applications in the environment. We are the glue that holds teams together at DoorDash.

About the Role

As an IT Solutions Architect you will partner with security, external vendors, and people operations to lead system integrations, identity access management, and IT M&A efforts. You will be responsible for designing resilient and scalable architecture with a primary focus on entity integrations/migrations in our Client Engineering ecosystem. 

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Client Engineering and is 100% remote with occasional travel.

  • Design the system architecture for new tools to seamlessly integrate into our ecosystem
  • Seamlessly navigate between the nuts and bolts of our system engineering and strategic planning for the evolution of our collaboration tools and services
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning: assessing demand, capacity, level of effort to ensure we are resourcing properly for execution
  • Be a technical leader for all IT M&A/integration efforts, setting direction and redefining what is possible
  • Anticipate and surface issues in technical design and create mitigation plans that are optimized to meet the needs of the business, the stakeholders, and the team
  • Create business cases and establish measurable outcomes for high priority projects and provide updates on the technical delivery for active programs
  • Partner with teammates to identify metrics for measuring process and system health, implement monitoring where there are gaps, and build data visualization dashboards
  • Establish data standards and build a governance practice in partnership with Global Risk and Compliance

  • You have deep experience with the following services and technologies: Identity and Access Management (Okta, Google IDP), Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Endpoint Management (Airwatch/Workspace One), Munki, and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • You have successfully led planning and integration for multiple IT M&A efforts
  • You balance program work to also prioritize documentation and continuous research of emerging technologies

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $153,000 - $207,000, plus opportunities for equity and commission. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
