About the Team

The Finance & Strategy team is responsible for accelerating the growth of our business by identifying and implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability and defensibility of our business model.

About the Role

In this role you will be both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to your business partners and as well as to the Finance leadership team. You will be the owner of the overall Corporate financial model for the company and lead the strategic, annual and quarterly planning process. This role will be responsible for managing the financial analysis and reporting that enhances executive management’s decision making and effectiveness in achievement of DoorDash’s financial and overall business goals. You will report to the VP of Strategic Finance.

  • Own the the DoorDash Corporate financial model and financial planning process
  • Formulate and drive strategic and long-term comprehensive business plans in collaboration with key business stakeholder executives
  • Construct detailed financial models to support the investment decision-making process
  • Work closely with the VP of Strategic Finance & CFO to ensure that the appropriate and effective financial infrastructure is in place to accommodate the company’s current ongoing business requirements as well as future needs
  • Help to develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk with the Accounting organization
  • Own investor relationships and reporting, including Board materials
  • Lead, scale and coach a team

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 15+ years of strategic finance, FP&A, or investment banking experience at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance - MBA and/or CFA preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a passion to understand data and communicate insights
  • Experience working with Accounting and a understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles
  • Advanced modeling skills (e.g., Excel (can perform complex functions), Google Sheets). Ability to build complex financial data into digestible models and analyses, used across the organization to make strategic recommendations and investment decisions
  • SQL proficiency is a huge plus. Manipulate large datasets, uncover hidden insights, and improve our understanding of our business
  • Prior experience in investment banking and high-growth marketplace startup is preferred
