On the Outside Account Management team, we develop DoorDash partners to capture engagement, growth, and performance on our platform. We will establish success and build a plan to reach new heights, while accommodating the variable needs of our partners.

About the Role

The New Vertical Strategic Partner Managers will own the relationship with our local partners in our newest Industries: grocers, convenience chains, and other retailers across Canada. You are a highly effective partnership manager, able to engage in strategic conversations with executives, while managing operations at the lowest level of detail with operators. You are an analytical thinker who enjoys getting into the weeds to solve problems. You can manage a complex relationship across multiple workstreams, products and geographies in a fast moving and highly ambiguous environment. You are comfortable in ambiguity and excited to operate in a new space and collaborate to build process and structure 

Finally, you enjoy building stuff; you like to experiment with new things to further develop our internal processes in ways that we may not have explored before.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Nurture and grow existing partnerships to ensure long-term retention 
  • Manage the implementation of new partnerships, including detailed operational and rollout processes
  • Introduce and expand new products into the relationships that you manage
  • Work and serve as the liaison between our partners and DoorDash's operations, marketing and other functional teams
  • Develop our partner management playbook across multiple new categories and business

We're excited about you because…  

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a client-facing sales / account management role or related experience
  • You are bilingual (written and spoken) in French and English 
  • You have knowledge of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) 
  • You navigate sales tools with ease (Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Google Apps)
  • You manage a book of business, with clients in small to mid-sized markets and can juggle priorities across each
  • Minimize churn and redirect our partners to opportunities of expansion, using DoorDash products
  • Use data to test daily operational processes to keep our merchants efficient
  • Work with our Product, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure merchants have the best possible experience when using our platform
