About the Team

The Business Platform team’s mission is to enable local commerce for any kind of good and any customer whether inside or outside DoorDash.  This team builds our direct-to-customer platform with products like Drive (delivery-as-a-service) and Storefront (ordering-as-a-service), letting local merchants of all kinds use DoorDash technology and logistics to interact with their own customers. 

 

About the Role

In this role you will lead a team of product managers to create a last-mile logistics network that any merchant can use to deliver anything. Going beyond restaurant food, you will enable merchants to efficiently deliver groceries, household goods, pharmaceuticals, parcels, and more. Your team will make the DoorDash technology and logistics capabilities accessible to any local merchants via simple APIs, helping merchants build their own off-premise businesses without significant investment in building last mile logistics networks. 

You will report into the Senior Director Of Product Management on the Drive platform team within our Business platforms organization.

In this role you will be responsible for

  • Drive Fulfillment. Create the most efficient last-mile logistics network to deliver anything, for any Merchant.
  • Dasher Experience: Create new earnings opportunities for Dashers by enabling them to do more than one type of deliveries. Enable Merchants to lever a massive pool of flexible labor for tasks like shopping or delivering parcels. 
  • New Verticals for Drive: Expand Last-mile logistics capabilities beyond restaurant food to enable Mx deliver groceries, retail, household goods, pharmaceuticals, parcels, and more
