About the Team

We are looking for a Merchant Ops Associate to partner with our highest revenue driving merchants to help solve their most pressing issues and provide the opportunity to improve their overall merchant experience as we continue to scale our last-mile logistics platform.

About the Role

As a Merchant Ops Associate, you will play a crucial role within the Outside Account Management team by providing our merchants with day-to-day support as well as focusing on ensuring overall Merchant success. You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with our Merchants through excellent customer service, relationship management and strategic problem solving. You are analytical, a strong communicator and you are excited to tackle our merchants’ most challenging problems. You will report into a Strategic Partner Manager on our Post-Sale team in our Outside Account Management organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Support regional outside account management team by ensuring merchant success in the following ways: 
  •  Drive retention and overall merchant success through exceptional service and support
  • Help identify and troubleshoot merchant issues; track feedback to inform updates to existing tools and resources
  • Proactive communication to Strategic Partner Managers and regional leadership regarding project progress and results
  • Develop a deep expertise in how DoorDash processes, systems and resources work, and how to use them to promote positive outcomes for our Merchants
  • Identify gaps in processes and partner with management to streamline for maximum efficiency 
  • Proactive data analysis to help the team more quickly understand regional trends and unlock opportunities (SQL not required but willingness to learn is!) 
  • Drive revenue growth
  • Alignment with regional goals; assist with tasks and strategic initiatives that pertain to the region
  • Proactive business audits for operational efficiency and drive revenue growth (i.e. photos, hours, tags, etc.). Unlock opportunities to optimize store menu pages (i.e. menu optimization to increase attach rates).

  • Prior relevant working experience (internships count!); startup experience a plus
  • An ability to understand and communicate operations processes
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills (bilingual written and verbal skills are considered an asset)
  • An ability to analyze data (Excel and SQL knowledge is a bonus!)
  • The mindset of an owner in whatever you do, and striving to be 1% better everyday
  • An ability to learn fast and juggle competing priorities
