About the Team

DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We’re hiring engineers to work at the intersection of software/hardware engineering and robotics to solve key business problems with elegant technical solutions. If you have a passion for applying robotics solutions to a service loved by millions of people, then we want to talk to you! 

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage the infrastructure to simplify software deployments on the robots
  • Apply configuration and software changes on the systems to the new and existing fleets.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD and developer efficiency systems.
  • Introduce tools and best practices that accelerate our development process

What you’ll achieve

  • Develop automation and tooling to deploy robots at scale
  • Have the ability to shape and improve our engineering culture
  • Support Engineering teams to deploy and test new features and functionality

What We're Looking For

  • B.S in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years of industry experience as a DevOps engineer or equivalent
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, puppet, etc.
  • Experience in working with Linux/Unix development environments and troubleshooting the system 
  • Experience with writing scripts for automation
  • Able to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
  • Adaptability, resilience, and being able to thrive in ambiguity - things change quickly in our fast-paced team and you’ll need to be able to keep up!

Nice To Haves

Experience with these specific technologies or similar alternatives is not required but helpful.

  • Debugging, deploying, and managing C++/Java applications
  • AWS or similar Cloud experience, Docker, Ubuntu
  • Familiarity with RaspberryPi
