DoorDash Labs is an independent team inside of DoorDash incubating long-term bets and exploring new technologies that can be applied to transform last mile logistics. About the Role

If you have a passion for seeing robotics solutions being practically applied with tight integration into a service used by millions of people, we want to talk to you! We're looking for a hands-on technologist to help build our newest team. You will report into Hardware Lead on our Hardware team in our DoorDash Labs organization.

We're excited about you because…

  • You are enrolled in a B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering graduating in December 2022 or Spring 2023
  • Must be available for a May or June 2022 start date (SUMMER ONLY)
  • Must submit a portfolio with personal, school or internships (confidentiality permitting) projects demonstrating passion and ability to complete hardware projects
  • You have a passion for robotics, drones and working on special projects
  • Hands-on experience, willingness to assemble and troubleshoot prototype mobile robot electrical systems
  • Experience designing and conducting tests and data collection
  • You live for design elegance and simplicity
  • You have passion for learning the unfamiliar and approach new problems with no bias
  • You take great pleasure in seeing your work go from idea to the finish line
