About the Team

Storefront is DoorDash's first software-as-a-service product: An online ordering platform that enables merchants to link a branded, first party ordering experience to their websites and first party channels, with delivery and fulfillment powered by DoorDash.

The Storefront Design team is on a mission to make Storefront a best-in-class experience that empowers merchants to easily and efficiently operate their business, grow sales, and build lasting relationships with their customers online and off.

Storefront is less than 2 years old, and is at a pivotal point of growth. We are expanding fast and defining the vision for the future of Storefront as we build our teams. We're looking for designers who are excited to define the product strategy and experience for a new product and build zero to one experiences.

About the Role

You will lead all aspects of design for 1-2 of our Storefront product areas, including vision, strategy, and execution. You will work with a diverse team of product managers, developers, researchers, content strategists and more, to build outstanding merchant and consumer-facing experiences.

We are still in an early stage, which means you'll have opportunities to shape our culture and process from the ground up, and work on big, meaningful design problems.

You will report to the Design Lead for Storefront.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Own the user experience end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, running design sprints, and creating visions
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and other disciplines to build and ship your designs
  • Create and refine flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
  • Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
  • Provide direct and impactful feedback to other designers on the team, helping designers on adjacent product teams grow their skills

  • You are a senior IC with 5+ years of work experience
  • You are comfortable driving product and design strategy in an ambiguous environment
  • You are a storyteller, and are able to clearly communicate your design work and your design decisions

  • You balance strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to achieve elegant solutions
  • You are comfortable working within complex systems and technologies
  • You value high-quality well crafted visual design, and care about the details
