About the Team

We're looking for someone to help us build DoubleDash into a household name and one of our next billion dollar businesses.

DoubleDash is one of DoorDash's newest product features, allowing customers to order from multiple stores at once, merchants to grow their revenue, and Dashers to have more earning opportunities. As the general manager for this business line, you will help define our strategy and execution plan, growing the suite of product offerings, and making it a utility for all customers, everywhere DoorDash operates.

About the Role

To achieve product-market fit across all 4 sides of the marketplace (customer, merchant, dasher, and advertiser), you will partner with product, engineering, analytics, finance, merchant strategy and operations, and business development teams on the business plan, strategy, and execution. You'll need to get comfortable creating a strategic vision and thinking at the 30,000 foot level while also rolling up the sleeves and getting to the lowest level of detail, whether designing a future customer use case or finding the cause of a delivery defect.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Lead. You'll oversee the business side of our DoubleDash product line with responsibility for top-line growth, revenue, operating costs, and P&L ownership. You'll also hire and develop a team
  • Build. Drive daily execution and make decisions affecting the product across all business verticals (convenience, grocery, alcohol, restaurant) and countries (US, Canada, Australia). You will work on everything from high-level strategy to operational details
  • Strategize. From first principles, you'll help develop the best strategies to create a unique experience for all audiences, build and execute go-to-market strategies, and set up operational experiments to grow the platform
  • Collaborate. Work with product, engineering, finance, strategy and operations, business development, and marketing teams to achieve product-market fit and accomplish shared growth and profitability goals
  • Analyze. You'll assess the operational and financial impacts of your decisions, and iterate based on data

We’re excited about you because…

  • You solve problemsfrom first principles. You're excited to think in innovative ways, and you resist "this is how it's always been done" thinking.
  • You're equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
  • You're unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in startup environments
  • You're analytical. You let data win arguments, and you're comfortable pulling data in SQL or modeling in Excel (can perform complex functions/write advanced Macros).
  • You're relentless. You do what it takes to win, no matter what.
  • You have 9+ years of experience. You've succeeded in high-performance cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience), and you've led teams to achieve audacious goals.
  • You have 6+ years of team management experience. Developing a team is something you are passionate about

Bonus Points

  • You have experience starting or scaling a successful startup.
  • You have an interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
