Job Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and maintain computing environment used by Door Inc and its subsidiaries
  • Provide superior customer service and technical support to internal staff
  • Plan, install, secure, upgrade, monitor, design, and implement computer and network systems
  • Ensure high availability, stable operation, and optimal performance of the organization’s IT assets. This includes all new and existing hardware, software, voice, data and communications
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues
  • Work as first line back up and provide daily escalation support for all PC and end user helpdesk issues, utilizing ticketing system for tracking and documentation

Required skills and specific duties

  • Proficient with Cisco Meraki Access Points
  • Proficient switch and router configuration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
  • Proficient at setting up site to site SSL VPN connections, firewall rules, and policies
  • Proficient with Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and File share services
  • Proficient at maintaining and monitoring network performance, including performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
  • Proficient with managed Wireless network, Wireless security, Channel management, Radio interference
  • Proficient at securing network by managing and developing network access, monitoring, control, subscribing to tech blogs, and maintaining documentation
  • Experience maintaining equipment inventory, licensing, and support contracts for software and network hardware
  • Experience with MS Dynamics Business Central and Dynamics CRM a must
  • Demonstrated customer (internal staff) focus
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed to resolve problems including on call duties shared in a small team environment
  • Appropriately moderated and demonstrated desire to stay up to date with developments in IT technology
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to accomplish personal and department goals in a small team environment

Desired Skills

  • Familiar with creating budgets and monitoring expenses
  • SQL programming experience
  • Experience with eCommerce
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining SharePoint a plus
  • Experience with script writing (Powershell or Python) a plus

Education and Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 years work experience as Systems Engineer
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science and 3 years work experience as Systems Engineer
