The Role

As an Account Moderator at Donorbox, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our platform by reviewing accounts, screening customer campaigns, and investigating reported activities. We are looking for someone who is an objective and critical thinker with excellent communication skills, resourceful, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Review accounts of new signups and the existing customer base.
  • Screen customer campaigns for suspicious fundraisers or red flags.
  • Investigate reported campaigns for potential contraventions of our Terms of Use and/or Acceptable Usage Policy, including research into the customer’s websites, social media, current social climate, and policies.
  • Identify patterns of behavior by bad actors to keep our security protocols updated.
  • Uphold the principles of free speech and the guidelines outlined in the Donorbox Acceptable Usage Policy when assessing customers.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in account moderation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent research and investigative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze extensive written content and footage to identify potentially problematic content.
  • Ability to create comprehensive reports of findings after conducting research and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive content issues.
  • Adaptability to changing policies, guidelines, and industry trends.

Details

  • Fully remote based in any country
  • Must be available to work a 9-hour shift (including 1-hour lunch) from 12PM to 11PM GMT
  • Salary: $15k USD per annum
