Position Summary 

As a Solution Consultant, you will partner with the sales team to provide pre-sales technical support to Domo’s customers. You will use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise through presentations and product demonstrations. Solution Consultants will provide expertise on the business and technical value of Domo’s public cloud offerings versus the competition. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Understand customer's goals and challenges and establish Domo's product as the best solution available; 
  • Manage all technical aspects of a complex sell in conjunction with experienced field personnel; 
  • Present Domo technology, infrastructure, security and roadmap; 
  • Respond effectively to RFIs, RFPs, and prospects' technical diligence questions; 
  • Qualify customers' requirements and effectively articulate Domo's ability to meet these requirements; 
  • Work with Account Executives to build effective strategies to drive sales into Fortune 500 customers; 
  • Ensure the success of customer PoC/Pilots through hands-on delivery, effective management of acceptance criteria and issue escalation/resolution; 
  • Provide partner education and support to maximize Domo's success through effective mentoring and product positioning; 
  • Develop and deliver exceptional company/product presentations and demonstrations 1:1 and 1: many. 

Job Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline; 
  • 5+ years-experience as a Solution Consultant or Sales Engineer within an enterprise software/IT/BI organization with heavy client facing experience; 
  • Knowledge of all things Data (Databases, RDBMS, Data Types, Data Structures, ETL, Data Governance, etc.); 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL; 
  • Experience selling Analytics and/or BI solutions;
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to solve business and technical problems;
  • Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of related applications, SaaS models, relational databases and web technology;
  • Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency;
  • Self-directed and resourceful.
