Global Head of Contract Compliance 

Location

Our Global Head of Contract Compliance will be an integral part of our Legal, Risk and Compliance team specially focused on managing and solutioning legal outcomes for contracts where DoiT is a party. In addition the role would also lead legal aspects of our M&A strategy. This role is based remotely out of  the US and required to collaborate with business stakeholders globally.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Global Contract Compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in contract negotiation, dispute resolutions and strong business acumen and previous experience in a Senior role for a reputed Law firm managing a book of business and additional experience as a General/Legal Counsel for a technology corporation handling governance and general corporate work. M&A experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze contracts and related terms. 
  • Negotiate with counter parties to the contract and deliver most favorable outcomes to the Company. 
  • Act as a key go-to person and project manage the contract dispute resolution process.
  • Responsible for drafting template contracts, correspondence, memoranda, and other documentation as needed.
  • Proactively managing the existing contract base and identifying possible legal, financial or business risk associated and taking necessary proactive steps to mitigate risks. 
  • Continuously monitoring and analyzing changes in counterparty contract terms (mostly cloud partners) and actioning necessary changes including effectively communicating the impact to Internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel, as applicable , in identifying, creating and negotiating the most favorable outcome for DoiT analyzing all possible legal resources under the contract.
  • Identifies contract issues and responds to a variety of unusually complex inquiries while providing leadership in developing innovative solutions.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Maintains an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts and proposals.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Where applicable, representing DoiT  in legal proceedings related to legal matters, including litigation, arbitration, or regulatory enforcement actions
  • Other additional responsibilities as  assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • A JD degree from a top-tier ABA-accredited law school
  • Minimum of 15 plus years of relevant experience in Senior role with reputed Law firm in US and fast paced large technology corporation. 
  • Keen business sense, ability to think creatively and strategically and able to quickly, and accurately identify legal issues in a complex environment and to develop solutions by exercising confident judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Capability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow, and adjust to frequent fluctuations in workload and business imperatives.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and maintain superior collaboration.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment, with a focus on complex contracts transactions. 
  • Experience and understanding of cloud-based technologies and knowledge of channel partner business model and contracts within B2B is a huge plus.
