What you’ll do

As our B2B Marketing Director (DE), you will define and execute a marketing strategy targeting healthcare professionals and institutions to drive the growth of our business in Germany. Your main objectives will be to improve our sales conversions, address inconsistencies across different target groups, ensure the successful release of new products while leading and coaching a team of 15+. Your strategic leadership and performance-driven mindset will play a crucial role in achieving our marketing goals, maximizing our marketing budget, and improving our market penetration. Please note that your presence in our Berlin office at least 3 times a week is crucial for you and your team's success.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

(1) Maximize our marketing budget

  • Optimize the usage of a B2B marketing budget, including all DE B2B initiatives, freelancer, content, videos, T&E, etc.
  • Drive better performance by effectively allocating the budget and measuring the impact of each channel on lead generation and sales conversion.
  • Balance budget allocation and campaigns at scale between medical clusters with different needs (e.g., cardiologists vs. GPs) while maintaining coherence and ensuring the right messaging for all.

(2) Develop & lead a high performing marketing team

  • Lead, coach and inspire a team of 15 people, fostering a performance-driven mindset and sharing best practices and vision with a x10 mindset
  • Set up a sustainable team structure with clear KPIs, provide guidance, and organize the necessary resources to achieve targets and win in the long-run
  • Implement performance management and measurement strategies to understand marketing performance at every stage of the funnel and drive resolutions to operational issues.

(3) Acquisition 

  • Focus on measuring actions and assessing performance, ensuring each channel has a dedicated budget for lead generation and SQL generation.
  • Together with the marketing automation department, design, implement, and improve the leads generation pipeline to ensure quality leads reach the internal sales organization.
  • Collaborate with the global demand generation team to plan, execute, and deliver effective lead generation campaigns to meet sales lead gen and conversion rate targets.
  • Define a clear demand generation strategy for different segments, including website management, automation, paid and social media, and tools and effectiveness.
  • Develop and enhance 360° marketing campaigns for lead generation, analyzing performance, testing new channels, and managing budgets.

(4) Offline

  • Lead the offline marketing team (advertising and events) to improve visibility and increase the number of inbound leads.
  • Position Doctolib as a key player in all relevant emails, enhancing brand awareness and engagement.

(5) Content

  • Define a targeted Content Marketing strategy for healthcare professionals, including blog posts, long-form guides, whitepapers, etc., to improve brand innovation survey scores and SEO positioning.
  • Build narratives, value propositions, and category-based stories around new and existing products and lines of business in partnership with Go-to-market and Product Marketing teams.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and operational teams to deliver targeted content that increases impact and conversion rates.
  • Share clear guidelines to ensure adherence to product positioning and messaging guidelines.

Who you are

  • Seasoned B2B Brand and Performance Marketing leader in a rapidly scaling environment, preferably in the healthtech or SaaS industry.
  • Full alignment with Doctolib’s leadership principles and a successful track record of developing & leading high performing teams of 10+ members.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate marketing efforts across different product categories and a diverse range of customers.
  • An entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and measure marketing performance.
  • Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation for B2B marketing activities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B lead generation and improving conversion rates in challenging markets.
  • Proven success in online & offline B2B marketing strategies and ability to align marketing efforts with sales objectives.
  • Familiarity with complex organizations, adept at building networks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing objectives.
  • An articulate and effective communicator in both spoken and written German and English.
