 Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.

 

What you’ll do

As a Senior Software Engineer you’re going to join our Core Backend Technology team. The team plays a crucial role in developing the backend technologies that support our engineering organization such as foundational tech frameworks and libraries that power runtime independent services (web framework, dependency management, observability SDK, internal communication) as well as the Asynchronous Task framework.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Play a great role in helping pick the technologies that will help us scale further
  • Contribute to setting technical vision and defining the roadmap for the next quarters
  • Build core libraries in Java and possibly Ruby and Typescript
  • Help plan obsolescence and maintain homogeneity across the whole organization
  • Enabling secure and normalized communications between services
  • Working in a team of highly skilled engineers who work together with the rest of the organization to deliver quality and performant code

 

Who you are

We’re on the lookout for a professional who is proactive, involved, curious, and collaborative.

  • You have at least 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • You have strong technical writing skills on Backend development based on different programming languages and you master Java or Ruby
  • You are an effective communicator and as a Senior, you are able to mentor and coach your peers 
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to dedicate yourself to creating technologies and solutions which will enhance the day to day work of our engineers
  • If you already have experience in a Platform team that would be a great plus
