Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with engineering, design, and business teams.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Doctolib's Engineering Enablement team in our Platform Engineering domain.

In this role, you will work on crucial Release and Quality Engineering topics. Your primary objective will be to collaborate with all engineering teams to define and implement best practices in testing management and release management. Additionally, you will play a key role in contributing to the development of our Internal Developer Platform, empowering our 70+ feature teams to efficiently deliver high-quality products that meet our standards.

As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with Feature teams: You will work closely with our Feature teams, ensuring that the platform aligns with the needs and requirements of our developers.
  • Driving improvements: You will continuously evaluate new technologies and processes, striving for enhancements, and implementing them as necessary to optimize our development practices.
  • Defining best practices: You will be responsible for defining best practices, known as "golden paths," for software development and deployment. This includes automation, testing, and security measures, in collaboration with our SREs, Security teams, and other domain experts.
  • Developing and maintaining tools and services: You will create and maintain tools and services that facilitate the implementation of best practices. These resources will assist developers in building and deploying applications more efficiently.
  • Ensuring reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring: You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, traceability, and monitoring of our platform and services.
  • Collaborating on roadmap delivery: You will actively contribute to the delivery of roadmap items, working closely with the rest of the team to achieve our collective goals.

Who you are

If you don’t meet all the requirements below but believe this opportunity matches your expectations and experience, we still encourage you to apply!

  • You have at least 5+ years of software engineering/QA experience, including experience with GitHub Actions, Ruby and/or TypeScript
  • You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
  • You have a good understanding of web technologies and software development life cycle
  • You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code.
  • You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture
  • You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring.

Now, it would be fantastic if you:

  • Have experience with test frameworks such as Jest, Vitest and/or Capybara
