Who are we?

dna Communications is an integrated medical/healthcare communications agency with two primary divisions; medical education and public relations. Part of the IPG DXTRA Healthcare ecosystem and sister-agency to Weber Shandwick Health, the dna Communications Medical Education team offers clients high-level insights into the ever-changing commercial landscape through strategic, medical educational, behavioural change and engagement programmes.

What is the role?

The Vice President (VP) is a senior member of the dna Communications team with a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of the agency. They will have broad experience of client service and team management within a medical education agency setting and will be required to take responsibility for the direction and efficient functioning of the business.

The VP will take the lead in providing strategic direction to clients and will play a key part in identifying and converting new business opportunities from both new and existing clients, as well as providing team leadership, management and mentoring for junior team members.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic counsel for clients
  • Overseeing assigned accounts and taking overall responsibility for project delivery
  • Identifying growth opportunities, both for dna, and for the wider IPG network
  • Working with the senior management team on the strategic direction of dna
  • Supporting operational excellence and improving internal processes if required
  • Supporting development of team members and identifying skill gaps
  • Working with the recruitment team on interviewing and resourcing
  • Line managing of the Client Experience team.

 

Who are you?

  • Already working at VP, Associate Director or Client Services Director level, or strong Senior Account Director in a medical education/communications agency
  • Experience within a senior leadership team
  • Strong experience with medical education projects
  • Ability to oversee multiple accounts and clients
  • Proven ability and interest in identifying, pitching and winning new business
  • Fully aware with the relevant codes of practice (ABPI/PMCPA and EFPIA codes of practice), able to advise both clients and team members of the requirements of these codes as they apply to our work

 

Experience would be ideal in:

  • Working within a networked agency

We are ideally looking for someone who could be available to work in our London office at least twice a week though we are a flexible bunch, so please do reach out if you have flexibility requirements and we'll be happy to chat!
