Job Description:
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Develops new and manages existing client accounts for the events cluster.
- Maintains a plan for continued client management and follow-ups to increase upselling and new business opportunities.
- Sell sponsorship and branding solutions in accordance with set targets to ensure revenue budget is achieved.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Work with the Director of Sponsorship to identify new commercial opportunities and develop relationships with local and international clients
Sales Execution
- Directly engage in high-level sales negotiations and secure key accounts.
- Actively conducts face to face and online sales meetings and maintains a consultative sales approach with a strong closing dimension. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of sales strategies, adjusting as needed.
- Use market insights to identify new business opportunities.
- Visit exhibitions and other events to connect with new business opportunities.
- Update and maintain accurate SalesForce records and pipeline daily.
- To complete accurately and share the weekly feedback and monthly reports with the line manager.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns and generate leads.
- In accordance with the accounts department assist with the collections due for sponsors sales.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors understanding their business and marketing needs.
- Act as a point of contact for these clients, addressing their needs and going above and beyond to deliver to their expectations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through excellent service.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, event director, content team, operations and finance to ensure seamless execution of the sponsorship deliverables.
- Co-ordinate with internal teams to address client needs and deliver on commitments.
This candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, with great sales expertise for consultative selling. A deep understanding of the conferences and exhibition business is an advantage. Effective communication, strong negotiation skills and relationship-building are essential for this role.
Requirements and skills required:
- Min 3-5 years of B2B sales management and account handling experience
- Previous relevant experience in events company is a must
- Able to sell with a consultative approach
- Familiarity within the construction, real estate, financial and tech industries
- Experience in Middle East market is plus
- Arabic written and spoken is a strong asset
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide variety of senior clients and partners across multiple mediums, including phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
- Highly motivated, ambitious, a desire to take ownership and responsibility to ensure the best outcome
- Ability to work towards KPIs, using them as a motivational tool to hit and exceed targets
- Adaptable and collaborative nature, working with colleagues across the team
