Job Purpose:
To work alongside the Operations Teams on the Energy portfolio events, supervising various assigned design tasks, predominantly relating to show signage design work and show feature design artwork.
Accountabilities:
Support Project Management
- Manage the timelines and deadlines for milestones within the design cycle for the allocated events.
- Effectively support the planning and successfully delivery of all design elements for your events through creation of a project plan.
- Utilise project planning software to create an approval and sign off process internally.
- Support researching new locations, venues, and suppliers for existing/launch events, and/or evening functions.
Design and Production
- Successfully work with design platforms and technology to ensure quality of work is to a high professional standard.
- Successfully create, update, and monitor inventory trackers for the event’s operational elements (such as venue signage opportunities, feature artwork locations) .
- Propose creative designs.
- Attend relevant training as required and stay up to date with design and software skills.
- File all relevant documentation on the shared drive.
- Assist the wider operations team with adhoc tasks where needed.
Event Knowledge
- Gain knowledge of the venues and signage locations as well as understand how to navigate people from one place to the other.
- Stay up to date on the allocated event branding, the brand guidelines and how best it can be utilised.
Communication
- Be the point of contact for the Operations Team in terms of design

- Ensure professional and timely manner of communication.
- Communicate in advance any challenges you may foresee.
- Provide feedback and suggestions using your expertise.
- Work with external suppliers to ensure measurements and locations are correct.
- Attend team meetings where required.
- Attend events onsite as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Key requirements for the role
• 1-2 years’ experience in conferences and/or exhibitions.
• 2D design experience essential, 2D and 3D preferable.
• Software Skills: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Dream Weaver (would be great but not a must), Monday.com/smartsheet.
• Creative imagination.
• Able and willing to travel to countries in MENA region.
• Pro-active and able to take responsibility.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy, fast-paced, and agile environment.
• Good team player: able to work well in a team.
• Organised and methodical, with high attention to detail.
• Good at multitasking and working on different events/projects at the same time.
• Good communication skills: can communicate clearly and concisely with different communities and groups.
