The Role

HI Design is seeking to hire a Sales Manager who will be responsible for new business generation for HI Design Asia, taking place in Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

HI Design Events is an exclusive, invite-only event series for the hospitality interior design industry, bringing together FF&E Suppliers (bathroom, furniture, textiles, lighting, etc.) and Buyers (interior designers, hotel operators, developers) to meet, network and do business.  Each event is hosted in a 5* hotel for three days - in MEA (Muscat), Europe (Sardinia) and Asia (Phu Quoc, Vietnam).

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day sales, pipelines and appropriate administration for HI Design Asia
  • Seek out, consider and evaluate new business opportunities through cold calling and emailing
  • Maintain regular contact with potential clients to ensure new business is developed
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting weekly results

Skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales management and account handling experience within the exhibitions/events industry or Interior Design industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide variety of clients and partners across multiple mediums, including; phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, a desire to take ownership and responsibility to ensure the best outcome
  • Ability to work towards KPIs, using them as a motivational tool to hit and exceed targets
  • Adaptable and collaborative nature, working with colleagues across the team

Reporting and administration:

  • Update all activities and contacts on SalesForce (CRM System)
  • Load bookings into SalesForce
  • Submit a weekly pipeline report ahead of the pipeline meeting
  • Report back weekly in a pipeline meeting
