The Opportunity

dmg is currently seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist who will report to the Marketing Manager and be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns for dmg tradeshows and conferences, and will be accountable for managing the deliverables, while maintaining schedules and budgets.

 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Marketing Director:

  • Execution and Development of event marketing plans, marketing materials and communications including website development, advertising concepts, printed materials
  • Manage the work back schedules and campaign to ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with the digital team on the development and execution for the overall online strategy across all event websites and digital products
  • Maintain advertising schedule and ensure ads (paid and contra) are delivered on time
  • Assist in the brand fulfillment and creation of sponsorship, advertising, and contra partnerships
  • Conduct on-going evaluations of deadlines and registration measurables
  • Participate in the onsite coordination of your event(s) as required
  • Lead the production of event specific show guides and programs
  • Track budget expenditures
  • Develop and execute social media strategies, including Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Lead market research and external research for the purposes of reaching into emerging markets and event launches
  • Other duties as required

 

Candidate Profile

As an ideal candidate your background will include:

  • 3+ years or more marketing experience, or a marketing degree, certificate or equivalent
  • Exceptional project and time management skills
  • A Marketing generalist – able to perform tasks across the marketing function, from web/social media, to registration, to overall strategic marketing plans
  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to assess and determine needs, requirements and priorities
  • Exemplary organization skills and be process driven
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate among team members
  • Trade show/conference/event experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Publisher
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Wordpress
