DLH supports the Navy for SSEE ASE. In this role, you will support the Configuration Data Manager team maintaining the Configuration Data Management Database – Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) and Model-Based Product Support (MBPS) program ensuring the current and historical accuracy of the hull configuration.
If you have experience tracking the status and maintenance of equipment and their related logistics items (drawings, manuals, etc.) on ships and naval activities around the world, this job is for you.
You will be part of a stellar Fleet Support team that works closely with many customers around the world, delivering quality products, accurate information, and services to the fleet.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Assist with establishment of CDMD-OA/MBPS data records for various classes of Naval ships.
  • Review of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Perform data validation, analysis, and conversion for submittal to CDMD-OA/MBPS.
  • Ensure configuration/equipment and logistics records in the CDMD-OA/MBPS are accurate and current including but not limited to technical manuals, drawings, Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs), and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs).
  • Analyze equipment and Hierarchical Structure Codes (HSCs) to ensure proper structure?? designation.
  • Update the CDMD-OA/MBPS database with equipment serial number updates.
  • Participate in Integrated Logistics Support Management Team Meetings (ILSMT’s) and other internal and Government-led meetings.
  • Work with Planning Yards providing support maintaining various ship classes throughout the US Navy.
  • Perform CDMD-OA/MBPS data validation and end-user access support.
  • Work with the team to develop a more efficient environment for the interchange of information and data for the program.
  • Provide support, administration, and configuration management.
  • Travel to support of various Configuration Audits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Bachelor`s degree and 3-5 years of experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 4 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Must hold an Active Secret Security Clearance 
  • To be a team player, and a very fast learner
  • Prior experience in Configuration Management and Systems Analysis. Windchill experience a huge plus.
  • Strong analytical problem solving, capability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Prior database experience, such as Microsoft power apps is strongly desired
  • Proficiency using Microsoft 365 programs such as Excel, Power Query, Power Bi, Outlook, Word, etc., is strongly desired.
  • Military Logistics or Supply experience, while not required, is desired.
  • Familiarity, or prior experience with how the Navy plans configuration, logistics data, technical documentation, and how it is tracked and maintained will shorten the learning curve and is essential for being successful in this position.
  • Prior Navy experience, while not required, is desired.
