Responsibilities:
- Establishment of program level process/technical vision and leadership of all aspects of the program’s IT Operations.
- Provide program thought leadership for continuous service improvement and delivery of highly available systems, storage and networks that meet or exceed the customer's mission needs.
- Primary customer leadership interface responsible for the delivery of high-quality service operations support of customer issues and requests, and systems and networks availability.
- Management of operations management leadership team.
- Plan, organize, and manage direct and indirect assigned personnel for excellent service delivery in all technical areas for operational efforts; as well as, lead/mentor direct reports to grow the leadership team on the program.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Security and Project Management team leadership to smoothly transition new systems and knowledge when introduced into the environment.
- Liaise and partner with customer base to identify users that require new or alternative operations capabilities.
- Lead and present strategic plans for new and enhanced operational support to leadership to turn customer or leadership's visions into delivered services to assist in furthering the Institutes' mission.
- Management, development, implementation and on-going execution of the Incident Management and Problem Management processes, including escalation procedures.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering or Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree requirement established for this key personnel function.
- Minimum 7 years supervising technical teams to maintain reliable and available IT infrastructure and services.
- Experience establishing operational objectives and assignments, and delegating assignments to subordinate managers and staff.
- Experience working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with Government representatives both orally and in writing.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust.
