The Role:
As a Product Manager in our Lending team, you will play a pivotal role in building and launching new lending businesses. You will lead cross-functional teams through the discovery and inception phases to identify customer needs, design compelling solutions, and bring these solutions to market. This role demands a blend of strategic vision, stakeholder management, and a hands-on approach to customer research and agile product development.
You’ll be joining a team of enthusiastic folks spread across Indonesia and Singapore who are excited to be building a market leading lending business for Bank Jago.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Thinking and Roadmapping: Help to drive the strategic vision and development of the product roadmap for a given vertical, balancing short-term achievements with long-term goals. Drive the end-to-end process of launching new lending businesses, from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with the bank’s overarching goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Employ exceptional facilitation and visual facilitation techniques to engage teams and stakeholders in productive discovery and inception workshops.
- Customer Research and Experimentation: Champion customer-centric development, conducting in-depth customer research and leveraging best practice experimentation techniques to validate hypotheses and inform product development strategies.
- Agile Practices and Hypothesis Testing: Advocate for and implement agile methodologies, focusing on delivering the smallest, most valuable solution first to meet customer needs effectively. Develop and test hypotheses through structured experimentation, driving iterative product development.
- Performance Measurement and Improvement: Define key performance indicators to measure the value and ROI of new lending businesses. Regularly assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance product offerings and customer satisfaction.
- Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges, shaping the product strategy to capitalize on these insights.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Help to create a positive learning environment for others in the team.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of launching successful businesses, preferably in the lending sector of a multinational bank or Fintech.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to define and evolve the product roadmap based on market trends, customer feedback, and performance metrics.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, capable of building rapport quickly and managing relationships across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability in running effective discovery and inception workshops, employing visual facilitation techniques to drive clarity and alignment.
- In-depth knowledge of the lending business, with hands-on experience in a banking environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to drive customer research, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent understanding of agile methodologies and a proven track record of implementing these practices to deliver impactful customer solutions.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Able to confidently operate using both English and Indonesian Bahasa.
- Familiarity with Sharia banking principles and practices is a plus.
