About the job:

We are challenging the status quo in how people build mobile apps in areas with low/no connectivity or require high availability locally. Every day, Ditto helps companies build applications that could never be used without our technology, enabling these apps to flourish in environments such as the skies, restaurants, cruise ships, and remote locations across the globe.

We seek a technical Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team and immediately help redefine and drive how Ditto positions and messages itself to the market. To date, the market has pulled the product out of Ditto, but as we scale out of our initial markets, we need to position and message ourselves optimally to capitalize on our product market fit.

As we nail the position and message, we’ll scale out using that work to position Ditto optimally to address our prospects' unique challenges, guiding them through initially finding and choosing Ditto. To bring new customers into the funnel, you will create content that attracts net new customers, launch new products, speak at events, and all the classic PMM levers.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Ditto's new positioning and messaging by listening to customers, understanding their delights, needs, and frustrations, and using that information to inform the product narrative.
  • Manage new product launches to ensure cross-discipline synchronization and manage revenue impact.
  • Optimize our website and email programs so developers can self-serve and be productive quickly.
  • Enable the sales team to help prospects understand Ditto's potential by creating sales collateral, training, and tools that contribute to their success.
  • Measure what works and doesn't, and drive business decisions based on the data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Technical: Maybe you’ve worked for an enterprise software, SaaS, or web services company. Maybe you have a degree in Computer Science. Perhaps you just geek out on the side. You must be comfortable presenting technology to a technical audience, understand product and engineering, and take it to a technical market.
  • Curious: You are deeply curious about how things work and how to change them. You use this curiosity to drive outcomes, using metrics and analysis to make informed decisions.
  • Creativity: Get creative in demonstrating your creativity. How have you used limited resources to drive outsized outcomes at work?

The team:

You will be a vital member of the two-person Ditto Product Marketing team and report to the Head of Marketing, a former PMM (including a long stint at Twilio). You can mentor a rockstar PMM teammate in the art of PMM as they grow their PMM career. You will bring your perspective and frameworks to help drive the company’s GTM.

We’re super collaborative as a team; we don’t know all the answers but collaborate to discover and drive outcomes. Like the rest of Ditto, we leave our ego checked at the door and welcome diverse opinions. No one has done this before, and we’re on a journey to figure it out together.

We’re a 100% remote, globally distributed company. To collaborate successfully with the team, you must significantly overlap with Pacific Time, wherever you live. You must be able to get to an airport to travel to team meetings, conferences, customers, etc. Travel is anticipated to be 5-10% of the role. 

What you’ll need:

  • 5-7 years of product marketing experience at a B2B company with skilled PMM leaders you’ve learned from
  • You must have experience marketing a technical product, preferably to developers
  • Experience doing positioning, messaging, personas, use cases, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You love to write and can communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional workstreams
  • An ability to work at strategic and operational levels, consistently meeting or exceeding planned objectives.
  • A strong track record of spearheading launches and marketing campaigns that drive significant business results.
  • Strong ability to synthesize insights and leverage data to influence critical decisions
  • You are a scrappy and resourceful operator. You can unblock yourself to achieve your goals and think creatively about your problem-solving approach.

Bonus Points:

  • You have domain expertise with products or services that target mobile app developers or databases.
  • You understand the developer and know the tools and experience that developers crave.
  • You've worked with technology products that have targeted developers with cloud-based services.
  • You've worked with technology products that have targeted enterprises via direct, online, and channel strategies.

Compensation:  $146-$160k
