Distributional is building the modern enterprise platform for AI testing to make AI safe, reliable, and secure. AI is complex, unpredictable and constantly changing. Better AI testing is required to build confidence in non-deterministic AI-enabled applications, but AI testing is broken today. We’re building the modern AI testing stack for enterprises to fix this. We’re a Series A company with deep experience backed by the best investors.
It is early days, and AI testing is a new category. Distributional is just starting to define this space and our role in it. So we need a dynamic marketing leader to make our case to the market. By owning positioning, message, content and distribution in this technical, fast-moving space, this marketing leader will bring their expertise to bear on one of the most critical components of the new AI stack - and help define this stack for AI teams in the process. If you are a functional marketing expert who thrives by defining a clear signal in a noisy market, this role is for you.
Your mission is to make Distributional an industry standard.
This position reports to the CRO. You’ll be working closely across leadership, go-to-market and engineering to differentiate our product. You will start as an individual contributor managing multiple outside vendors from day one, but are expected to hire and manage a team over time.
What you will do day-to-day:
- Create a comprehensive marketing plan and lead execution to exceed stated goals
- Draw on AI validation/evaluation, data platform, DevOps, CI/CD or similar industry experience to communicate to our technical audience
- Own internal marketing assets that align our efforts, such as messaging, brand guidelines, positioning, personas
- Write whitepapers, blog posts or other thought leadership on your own and in collaboration with technical leaders at the company
- Design presentations for conference talks or standard sales decks in collaboration with sales, product marketing and product management
- Own content distribution channels, making decisions on what/where/when to publish, how to promote, defining budget, execution ownership and goals along the way
- Run campaigns, including goal setting, planning, resourcing and staffing to meet our broader marketing goals
- Define event and conference strategy and execution, including conference sponsorship and hosting Distributional events
- Lead category creation efforts, including internal cross-team alignment, definition of responsibilities and plan execution
- Develop a communications plan with our PR firm, including relationship-building with partners or influencers in the industry who can broaden our reach
- Do the work on day one, manage vendors to become more high leverage, and hire a team to further boost our marketing capacity over time
- Be an agent of change within our organization, aligning our message, amplifying our brand and establishing Distributional as the industry standard
