About the role

We are looking for a talented and creative Senior Content Marketing Manager to join our fast-growing Marketing team. If you are passionate about storytelling through powerful content creation that drives commercial results - then this role is for you! 

Sitting at the heart of our digital experience, Disguise’s content team is on a mission to create content that stands out from the crowd and educates, informs and delights our target audience. You will lead our content marketing efforts, working with our Content Marketing Manager, Head of Demand Generation and our Global VP of Marketing to plan, curate and execute the content marketing strategy for Disguise while creating content that supports demand generation activities, our SEO strategy, events,  product launches and helps builds our brand.

You will also collaborate with key stakeholders in the wider business from Product, Sales, R&D and Technical Solutions to elevate their knowledge and create materials that set Disguise apart as a thought leader. You will work directly with customers all around the world, creating powerful team spotlight blogs and case studies that shine a light on their impressive work using the Disguise platform. 

 

What you will do

  • Content Strategy and Execution: You will be responsible for developing the content marketing strategy in close partnership with the Global VP of Marketing ensuring that it is linked to and delivers on the overall business strategy and goals.

  • Content Development: You will commission, write, research and produce disguises’ content. This may at times entail working with internal teams to utilise their expertise, drafting content and managing the creation of this content visually. You will insist on producing the highest quality content and thus a heavy focus on research, editing and an eye for great design will be critical to your success. You will produce a variety of content types (blogs, long read articles, videos, emails, direct response copy, infographics, white papers, website, press releases, customer interviews etc.) for multiple customer segments and different stages of the customer life cycle.

  • Content Promotion and Measurement: You will promote our content to audiences by leveraging organic channels (e.g. SEO, blogging, link building, Reddit, Email distribution, etc.).You rely on metrics to measure your content performance and think tactically about how to improve the performance of content.

  • Planning editorial calendar: You will be producing content for all departments at all stages of the customer lifecycle - from awareness to retention. This requires someone who can see the big picture and is willing to support the larger marketing department growth strategy. You will plan ahead and manage your own time to make sure you meet deadlines.

  • Sector Research: Developing an in-depth knowledge of each vertical sector to identify the key global issues and opportunities that our expertise can solve for our clients including how this may differ across our key markets.

  • Thought Leadership: Proposing content ideas to relevant executives and taking responsibility for bringing together all research and executives’ contributions to produce a range of comprehensive, well-written pieces of thought leadership and content. Every piece of thought leadership content should be in proportion to depth and complexity of the content. The content should also be developed into a range of different formats (reports, white papers, video, webinars, podcasts, infographics, presentations etc.) to help increase its reach.

  • Campaigns: Work closely with the campaign team who will be responsible for utilising your content to generate leads for the business.

 

  • Brand champion. The author and guardian of the Disguise tone of voice and a powerful brand ambassador throughout the company. 

 

Role requirements

Required

  • 5+ years proven experience in creating content that drives company growth
  • A wordsmith extraordinaire who is able to write convincing copy that pushes people to take action.
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and engaging way.
  • Experienced at managing external agencies and resources
  • Video production experience
  • Project management expertise, with the ability to manage multiple projects and operate at pace. 
  • An enthusiastic team player who is able to collaborate with others and be flexible with change. 
  • A self-starter who can work on their own initiative and own their role.

Desirable

  • Experience in the media and entertainment industry including Virtual Production, Broadcast, Film, Live Events, Immersive experiences and/or Live events.
  • Experience using tools in our marketing tech stack: Salesforce, Pardot, Drupal CMS, MozPro, Search Console and GA4.
  • Deep understanding of best-in-class SEO practices
