This is a great opportunity for aspiring Software Engineers that want to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced startup environment. We are a collaborative and mission-driven team working on challenging problems that promise to radically change the future of healthcare. You will work with and be mentored by some of the leading experts in human-robot interaction. This project is a great opportunity to get exposed to a bunch of core competencies inside the domain of mobile robotics, and the product of the work is a tangible thing. 

*This is an in-office position that requires you to be located in Austin, TX to be considered. 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant field to the role
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and drive to learn and adapt new technologies
  • Curiosity, empathy and ability to get things done
  • Ability to commit to a 12-week internship

Required Skills:

  • Basic proficiency with C/C++
  • Basic proficiency with Linux
  • An introductory course to robotics (e.g. Stanford CS223A) or equivalent club experience

Nice to Have Skills: 

  • Hardware debugging experience
  • Python experience
  • Basic proficiency with controls theory
