About the Mission-Driven Organizations (MDO) Business Unit 

The Mission-Driven Organizations (MDO) Business Unit (BU) is a business unit within Diligent that provides and supports Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) solutions tailored for the needs of mission-focused organizations such as public sector (federal, state & local government, education), nonprofit/charity, community healthcare and community banking verticals in the North America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Australia/New Zealand and Latin Americas markets. The MDO organization includes Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success departments, and works closely with the central marketing resource teams (Brand, Digital, Social, Content, Marketing Operations, and Events) to execute campaigns across defined geographies and sectors.  

Position Overview 

The Product Marketing Manager position is a self-motivated team member, responsible for supporting Go to Market strategy within a diverse global team as part of the Mission Driven Organization (MDO) Business Unit (BU). 

The PMM works within defined global regions and verticals, specifically responsible for strategy, positioning and messaging for our Governance/GRC solutions within the Public Sector (State/Local Government and Education (FED/SLED)), charity/nonprofit, community healthcare and community banking markets. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the PMM works closely with the Senior PMM and Product organization to shape our strategy and assist with positioning for marketing campaigns across a variety of channels both internally and externally. The PMM also works closely with the Sales organization to incorporate feedback from the sales process into ongoing messaging, and resource and strategy development. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the creation of product marketing strategy for Diligent’s governance solutions for the Mission Driven Organizations business unit, including BoardEffect (nonprofit/healthcare/community banking) and Diligent Community (public sector/SLED) 
  • Conduct market research on the current market landscape, key competitors and their product feature sets, and identify ideal customer profile (ICP), persona pain points, market cycles, buying triggers and channels for reaching these personas, including any industry-specific regional events and possible partnerships 
  • Assist with creation of resources for marketing, sales and CS for all product releases & launches; includes creating the messaging & positioning by user/buyer persona, developing the sales playbook and supporting materials such as pitch deck and product collateral 
  • Collaborate with Enablement team on creation and adoption of resources to support Sales & Sales Prospecting for all product and feature releases 
  • Work closely with the Content Strategy Manager to plan and deliver external marketing assets such as blogs, white papers, e-books, and infographics to support GTM initiatives  
  • Communicate the GTM plan to the MDO Field Marketing Managers and collaborate on resources needed for campaign activation   
  • Support PMM and the Customer Experience team on program development and execution of Customer-First events including Elevate annual customer conference   
  • Partner with Product Management and Customer Success to establish and manage user committees/steering committees 
  • Work closely with the Product teams to share customer and sales feedback and inform the product roadmap 
  • Maintain competitive intelligence including tracking market moves, creating battle cards, and developing competitive positioning and messaging to influence campaigns and sales enablement 
  • Partner with regional sales leaders and teams to influence how the products are positioned during the sales process and identify opportunities to create or update sales enablement tools 
  • Support win/loss analysis for all brands and prepare summary reports and recommendations together with Senior PMM 

Required Experience/Skills:  

  • 3+ years of B2B product marketing experience in SaaS technology or professional services companies  
  • Understanding of US public sector industries (SLED) and GRC/governance solutions is preferred 
  • Ability to build relationships internally and work with key stakeholders and leaders in product management, sales, customer success and field marketing to define and execute on product marketing strategy 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, seek guidance as needed, and work within a global team across timezones (US & GMT) 
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-informed decisions 
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills 
  • Familiarity with marketing operations systems including Salesforce, Highspot, Outreach, Marketo, Sanity & Wrike is beneficial but not required 
  • Other traits: Curious, critical-thinker, detail-oriented, positive, adaptable, growth mindset, with a strong work ethic and committed to delivering a quality end result  
  • Able to commute to our Galway office location weekly 
Pay Range
$80,000$85,000 CAD
