We're looking for an experienced digital media executive to lead our audience development and insights teams. You will develop a vision and strategy to introduce our content to new readers and increase engagement with our existing audience. Knowing the delivery of timely insights is essential to our success, you anticipate challenges and manage resources to deliver creative solutions. Your passion to extend the reach and amplification of the Digital Trends mission through analytics, research, and insights, will empower our content and editorial teams to produce compelling content across all platforms. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you thoroughly understand the digital advertising landscape with expertise in media, ad-tech, commerce, digital advertising innovations, network, publisher, and data relationships.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute data-driven audience growth plans across all platforms.

  • Identify new growth opportunities and best practices based on emerging trends, competitive business intelligence, and consumer insight.

  • Work with Product, Engineering, Commerce, and other stakeholders to inform, influence, support, and execute product roadmaps.

  • Hire, retain, and scale high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams.

  • Lead the insights team to partner with the Data team to provide actionable insights from all data sources.

  • Provide structured feedback to the Data team to inform new data products and data product optimizations.

  • Proactively ask questions, ensuring that the right questions are being answered with appropriate level of rigor and that analyses lead to clear actionable recommendations and impactful product changes.

  • Be an expert storyteller, weaving data and insights into clear and concise presentations.

  • Determine and meet growth KPIs and ensure they align with revenue strategy.

  • Manage marketing programs (User Acquisition, SEO) for all platforms and products

  • Evaluate, hire, and develop relationships with existing and new platforms, partners and vendors; review, recommend, and manage tools, services, and vendors.

  • Develop and deliver regular reporting on program performance


You Have:

  • 10+ years experience in Marketing; at least 5 years in Audience Development & Insights, commerce, and digital media

  • Working knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, ComScore), multivariate testing, and user tracking

  • Expertise with data visualization tools, specifically Looker

  • Experience forecasting traffic and managing budgets

  • Self-awareness of leadership strengths and developmental opportunities, and dedication to develop and mentor a team

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Experience identifying essential questions; defining, performing, and coordinating analyses and communicating findings concisely

  • Understanding of functionality and sense of audience behaviors across multiple platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
