As DevOps Engineer you will join one of our fastest growing teams, responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure for highly available, high traffic websites and platforms. This role will empower engineering and product development efforts by learning about, building, and maintaining platform and monitoring infrastructure. Ideal candidates are passionate about DevOps best practices, such as platform as code, continuous integration/continuous deployment, rapid iteration, and workflow automation.

This role provides excellent opportunities for accelerated growth, international collaboration, as well as opportunities to learn about and work with cutting edge technology such as serverless microservices, machine learning, cluster orchestration, big data, and cloud based platforms at scale. This is a remote friendly role.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain business critical cloud platform infrastructure

  • Maintain CI/CD pipeline

  • Real-time monitoring and incident response

  • Cloud service integrations

  • Technical documentation

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong proficiency maintaining production systems using Amazon Web Services

  • Strong proficiency configuring and administering Linux systems

  • Strong proficiency configuring real time monitoring and alerting

  • Intermediate proficiency with test automation

  • Intermediate proficiency administering ECS or Kubernetes clusters

  • Intermediate proficiency administering DNS

  • College degree in IT, Development, or a closely related field preferred. Applicable work experience may be substituted in lieu of this.
  • Ability to self motivate

  • Ability to solve problems both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills and attention to detail.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to communicate and provide feedback to others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Network administration and security

  • Relational Database administration and optimization

  • NoSQL Database administration and optimization

  • Content Delivery Network administration

  • High availability/distributed system administration

  • Identity management system administration

  • Experience using Git or equivalent revision control solutions

Optional Qualifications:

  • AWS Certification

  • Familiarity with AWS Well Architected Framework

  • Test Automation

  • Experience with AWS Lambda

  • Experience with chaos engineering

  • Ruby scripting

  • Python scripting

  • NodeJS scripting
