Who We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a self-motivated automotive journalist with a proven track record of producing high-quality journalism that can speak to a wide audience. Our ideal journalist is not just into cars generally, but specifically acquainted with the latest high-tech vehicles. This includes Tesla, of course, but also electric vehicles produced by mainstream companies like Ford, GM, Toyota, and more. Sorry, petrol heads; we’re seeking a journalist with experience writing about electric vehicles.
Our coverage spans a wide range, but this freelancer will be focused on the vehicles themselves. That means reviews, first drives, and in-depth coverage. You can compare two hot electric vehicles one week, then write an exclusive story about a major manufacturer’s battery tech initiative the next.
What You'll Do:
Pitch article and review ideas
Write in-depth articles and reviews, sometimes on a tight deadline
Strive for exclusive and unique coverage
Maintain relations with key companies to enable all the above.
Use email and Slack to keep in touch with your editor
How to Apply:
To apply, please send a succinct cover letter, your resume (PDF format), and links to any published work that you believe demonstrates your storytelling abilities.
