Job Summary:
The Merchant Acquiring Sales Specialist will drive growth by acquiring new merchants and expanding relationships within the existing merchant portfolio. This role requires a blend of strategic sales, relationship management, and team support to achieve sales objectives, increase market presence, and enhance merchant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and present digital payment solutions and banking products to merchants, assessing and tailoring solutions based on business needs.
- Identify and engage prospective merchants to drive growth, participating actively in the full acquisition cycle from prospecting to contract completion.
- Manage and nurture ongoing relationships with merchants to ensure continued satisfaction, loyalty, and business expansion.
- Analyze and monitor merchant performance and profitability, offering insights and recommendations to maximize value for both parties.
- Collaborate with the sales team to strategize and implement business development plans for merchant acquisition and portfolio growth.
- Assist in training merchant staff on product offerings to optimize their use and integration into business operations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and competitive landscape to support data-driven business strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, assisting with both administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

- Strong leadership and coaching abilities, supporting the team in reaching performance targets.
- Sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and establish valuable partnerships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for presenting and negotiating with merchants.
- Customer-focused approach, ensuring high satisfaction and fostering customer loyalty.
- Proactive and goal-oriented, with strong initiative in identifying and acting on growth opportunities.
- Basic financial knowledge, particularly in understanding lending and payment solutions.
- Well-established network within the retail or merchant sector is a strong advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail in client management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in merchant acquiring, sales, or a relevant role in Banking, Fintech, or Telecom.
- Experience in account management and relationship building with merchants or key accounts.
