As an Engineering Lead, you'll be the driving force behind our software development teams. You'll own the product backlog, leading the charge of planning and executing technical projects alongside our development team and solution architect. You'll bring your A-game to software engineering practices, building efficient, scalable, and secure solutions that meet our business needs. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning while leading your team to success. 

Responsabilidades del puesto

  • Lead and manage engineering teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for professional development. 
  • Plan and execute software development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. 
  • Implement best practices such as Agile methodologies and DevOps principles. 
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards, promoting clean and maintainable code. 
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality solutions. 
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency and quality. 
  • Manage incidents and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. 
  • Mentor and train team members, fostering the development of both technical and soft skills. 
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new technologies and development practices. 
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation on software architectures, designs, and development procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including security measures. 
  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle for your team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development. 
  • Effectively manage all necessary workspaces such as sprint planning, reviews, 1:1s, retrospectives, team backlogs, and team meetings. 
  • Champion the Digital@Femsa culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  • Make data-driven decisions based on key performance indicators, both for project execution and team management. 

Calificaciones necesarias para ejecutar el puesto

  • 6+ of experiences in high tech / Digital product companies; in engineering, architecture, or SRE/DevOps roles (must have), including 1 or 2 years in leadership / coordination roles.
  • Proven leadership: Solid experience leading technical teams and managing projects. 
  • Development expertise: Proficiency in technologies like .NET, Java, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud AWS. 
  • Architectural knowledge: Experience with microservices, containers, RESTful APIs, and modular architectures. 
  • DevOps skills: Proficiency in CI/CD, Git, Docker, and tools like GitHub Actions and Terraform. 
  • Quality focus: Deep understanding of TDD, BDD, design patterns, and secure development practices. 
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and adaptability skills. 
  • English proficiency: Advanced level. (Must have)
