What is the Role: 

Reporting to the Director, Growth, you will work alongside the Strategy and Operations team to assist DCG Portfolio leaders on critical strategic and operational challenges, ultimately to help them achieve their performance objectives.  We are looking for a polished candidate who can identify ways to improve the performance and valuation of DCG portfolio companies.  

What You’ll Be Responsible For: 

  • Work with DCG Platform team in helping portfolio company leadership on a variety of strategic initiatives, business development, and operational improvements 
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, sectors, and investment opportunities to support portfolio company founders 
  • Engage with the broader web3 and entrepreneurial ecosystem to enhance DCG's brand and platform 
  • Organize events, workshops, and other initiatives to support portfolio companies and the startup community 
  • Solve complex problems, engaging with big picture strategy questions and the less glamorous work required in a new company 
  • Work cross functionally, collaborating with DCG and our portfolio companies 
  • Support the preparation of external and internal communications to various stakeholders 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • 2+ years professional experience working in strategy consulting, venture capital, or a similar capacity 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Familiarity with various software tools such as CRM, design, website builders 
  • You are a proven collaborator and communicator; you know how to listen and work well with others across disciplines 
  • Build understanding through active listening to what others have to say and responding appropriately 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and deliver on-time 
  • You thrive working in complex environments with many internal and external stakeholders 
  • You know how to admit what you don't know, and how to ask the right people for help 
  • You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in the gray space 
  • You can easily adjust to new situations, pivot when priorities change and make accommodations as needed to be effective in your role and deliver on goals 
  • You can think outside of the box and come up with creative solutions to solve complex problems 
  • You enjoy a challenge and will look at potential solutions through multiple lenses 
  • You take privacy and security seriously, and always consider them when developing solutions 
  • You’re a self-starter who proactively builds and solves problems 
  • You are comfortable working in a start-up environment and excited to engage in strategic thinking for new initiatives

  • Direct experience in value creation work within venture funds, crypto / blockchain or crypto-curious with an eagerness to learn
