We are looking to hire a Sourcing Specialist with an entrepreneurial mindset that will

Our Sourcing Specialist will oversee Diggs’ supplier relationships, both established
relationships, as well as establishing new relationships based on business needs and
changing market. The right person for the position has experience evaluating and
selecting suppliers with an eye on quality as well as cost. This person is passionate
about how Diggs’ products can impact the lives of owners and their pets.

Job Responsibilities
● Assist in the full sourcing process for all projects where sourcing & procurement
is required– inclusive of market analysis, defining and documenting business
requirements, supplier discovery, sourcing events (e.g., RFI, RFP), contract
● Assist in evaluating, qualifying, and selecting suppliers based on quality, service,
cost and capability
● Actively participate on new product development teams to review product
concepts for cost, supplier implementation schedules and suitability to the
current supply base
● Obtain comparative prices on an ongoing basis to minimize costs, and maintain
current cost data for all products and Services
● Prior to awarding new contracts, work with Diggs engineers and quality
inspectors to ensure that supplies, materials and services will meet established
quality standards and general business
● Act as the first point of validation that current and prospective suppliers can
meet business requirements both from a technical capabilities and production
capacities standpoints
● Coordinate with Engineering and Quality organizations to determine cause of
rejected material and to drive appropriate changes in supplier behavior to ensure
elimination/reduction of those quality issues
● Develop and monitor supplier scorecards to measure supplier performance
against agreed upon key performance indicators and service levels
● Bachelor's degree in business related field required
● 5 + years of applicable Sourcing/Category management/Supply Chain
experience preferably in a consumer products company
● Experience identifying, evaluating and securing new suppliers
● Is committed to maintaining beneficial supplier relationships
● Experience developing supplier scorecards and quality metrics
● Experienced leveraging relationships for improved quality and pricing
● Ability to sustainably manage multiple priorities in a cross functional setting
● Equipped to handle changing priorities in a fast paced startup environment
