• Improve the self-driving car prediction and motion planning onboard algorithms with cutting-edge ML approaches (deep learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, decision trees, etc).
  • Land machine learning approaches on the vehicle efficiently and effectively in real world driving environment
  • Build offboard data pipelines to evaluate self-driving car behavior/trajectory. 
  • Gracefully handling many complex situations involving social aspects (merging, negotiating narrow roads, etc), while dealing with noisy, uncertain, and incomplete information.


  • MS/PHD in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, statistics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to collaborate within and across teams
  • Strong experience programming in C++ with robust and efficient code


  • Solid understanding of linear algebra and planning/control systems/theories
  • Experience with applying Machine Learning and deploying Machine Learning models to solve motion planning or related robotics problems
