About The Role
Reporting to the Co-Founder and SVP of Engineering, the Director of Engineering will run the entire Product Engineering team at Dialpad, responsible for the backend and frontend development of all of our Dialpad products. Our goal is to scale the team while continuing to make great products with consistent innovation and releases.
We are seeking a leader who has an action-oriented mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, who operates with vision and integrity. The person in this role can expect to play an active part in the development and completion of projects, meet and report back to upper management, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and will work with multiple diverse teams. We expect the Director of Engineering to align engineering activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, approving newly-developed policies from various departments, and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have exceptional leadership, communication and project management skills and experience, and a strong belief in developing the skills and talents of your team. Ideal candidates will have experience in identifying and navigating organizational changes, a keen interest in international trends in engineering and leadership, and an above average emotional intelligence.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
