Our medical team is composed of nurses, nurse practitioners, family physicians, specialists and care coordinators who all contribute to the development of virtual care and continuous improvement of patient experience. Working closely with a variety of colleagues, we’re very collaborative and fortunate to have this unique multidisciplinary team that brings different perspectives to the table. Dialogue allows health practitioners to perform end-to-end consultations remotely with patients: from history taking, visual exams, diagnosis, treatment, follow-ups, prescriptions sent directly to the patient’s pharmacy when appropriate.

As a nurse practitioner, you will be responsible for consulting with patients and you will have an essential role in the patient care experience. You will be working as part of a group of highly qualified physicians, nurses, care coordinators and allied health professionals. You will also play an important role in the development and continuous improvement of the Dialogue virtual care experience.

Nurse practitioner profile:

  • Perfect written and spoken communication skills in English;
  • Have completed a masters degree in advanced practical nursing or a complementary diploma in primary care;
  • Holding a specialist certificate allowing the use of the reserved title of nurse practitioner (IPS);
  • Dynamic and open to using technology as a tool for patient care;
  • 3+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care.

It is important to note that telemedicine is a practice subject to regulation by the competent regulatory authority of the province or territory in which the professional is licensed, is physically present at the time of providing care, and is subject to regulations imposed by the province or territory in which the patient is located at the time of receiving the patient.

All Dialogue healthcare professionals practice only when they comply with the above-mentioned regulations. Dialogue health professionals receive training on telemedicine standards of practice. If necessary for his or her practice, a Dialogue health professional may be required to obtain a license to practice in several Canadian provinces and territories, only at the request of and at the expense of Dialogue.
