Diagram is looking for an experienced entrepreneur with blockchain/cryptocurrency/DeFi expertise to join its Partner team and support its growing venture portfolio.
The incoming Partner will have the opportunity to co-found and operate a handful of new ventures each year, and own a significant stake in the success of those ventures. In addition, given our close collaboration with Sagard, they’ll gain a unique vantage point in the evolution of the financial services industry on the whole, and the opportunity to invest and participate in the growth of other asset classes.
Core responsibilities:
- Be the Lead Partner & Board Member of 4-6 Diagram ventures (blockchain/crypto/ DeFi focus)
- Contribute to building & nurturing Diagram’s network of Founders; participate in the formation of founding teams based on our vetting methodology
- Contribute to sourcing & vetting opportunities for new ventures; overall process is led by our Innovation team, but Partner is expected to support and sponsor ideas
- Participate in Diagram’s growth into new verticals and new geos
- Be an ambassador for Diagram in the community
- Collaborate regularly with the broader ecosystem (i.e., Sagard, Portag3)
Experience:
- Proven expertise in the blockchain/cryptocurrency space, including venture founding and investment experience to deeply understand the landscape and emerging opportunities
- Angel investor in several companies in the space, with roles as advisor or Board member
- Strong network of entrepreneurs & North American VCs
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French a strong asset
Compensation:
- Total compensation competitive with equivalent position in venture firms
- Compelling deal-by-deal upside from shares in each underlying Diagram company
