Title: Senior PM, Environmental Compliance (Stormwater Management As-Built Certifications)

Type: Full time, exempt

Reports To: Director of Stormwater Compliance

DFM Development Services is an established consulting firm based out of Reston, VA that caters to the real estate development industry. We provide a variety of Development Support Services (red tape related items) to local and national real estate developers, corporations, and other real estate owners on projects throughout the Metro DC area.

 

Due to recent growth, our client focused firm is seeking to hire a full-time, Senior Project Manager to join our staff. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the field work of an Inspector and Project Manager, reviewing site development plans, performing field reviews and inspections, and assist with planning, developing, and designing stormwater improvement projects for various job sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead EC Department's SWM As-Built Certification practice by:
    • coordinating and overseeing the field Inspector; initially with support of the Director, but eventually independently
    • ensuring timely completion of high-quality SWM As-Built Certification packages, by coordinating with our PE to obtain appropriate seals
    • Reports to initially be reviewed by Director; but eventually to be delivered to clients independently
  • Assume responsibility for updating/maintaining the SWM As-Built Certification Tracker; initially in conjunction with Director, but eventually independently.
  • Learn Salesforce sufficiently to prepare and submit SWM As-Built Certification proposals and campaigns.
  • Support other EC Department work as assigned

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Science, Environmental Policy or related field
  • 1-4 years of proven Construction/Land Development/Stormwater compliance related experience (entry level candidates to be considered if applicant had internship in stormwater related industry)
  • DEQ Stormwater Certification is a plus; ability to obtain it within 1-year is required)
  • Familiarity with surface water and stormwater management
  • Must be able to read and interpret plans
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Physical ability to comfortably walk around active job sites in an efficient manner
  • Proficient using a Windows Operations System and Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat)

  • Walk around active job sites, stopping, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, sitting for an extended period of time
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces after receiving proper training and certification
  • Enter, access, and inspect underground stormwater structures (i.e. manholes)*
