In this role you will lead DFINITY's efforts in Customer Relationship Management, in collaboration with the rest of the Global Marketing & Adoption team. You will have the opportunity to adopt a CRM technology and implement it for the DFINITY Foundation, ensuring the principles of inter-departmental collaboration and transparency and data-driven decision making are fostered. You will help develop target personas and create segmented email marketing campaigns to raise engagement and conversion – while at the same time supporting the high quality branding and messaging expected of the Internet Computer Protocol. Additionally, you'll further develop the data analytics capabilities of the team, implementing the new Marketing Dashboard and supporting Leadership with relevant analyses and reports. Working across multiple work streams and projects, you will be championing a user-first mindset for email marketing and data analytics, considering our key target audiences: developers, tech enthusiasts, enterprise, governments, and NGOs.
You will report into the Head of Marketing Strategy & Performance, and will work very closely with the Institutional Affairs, Adoption, Business Strategy, Growth, and Partnerships teams.
This is a hybrid-onsite position, based out of our soon-to-be-opened office in the heart of San Francisco.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and execute CRM campaigns and programs, ensuring branding and messaging consistency across all email marketing campaigns
- Ensure campaign testing and continuous data-driven improvement
- Work collaboratively with other teams to generate the campaign assets needed for CRM initiatives
- Engage with vendors for the selection of CRM infrastructure, manage the implementation with a structured project plan and engage internal stakeholders in the process, to ensure alignment and that needs from different teams are met
- Work with agency and internal designers to ensure highly engaging graphic and motion design assets are produced for email marketing campaigns
- Enhance user segmentation via data analysis and marketing research
- Develop User Journeys, Inbound Marketing campaigns
- Improve newsletters with testing and analytics
- Benchmark against best-in-class email marketing campaigns, identify unique opportunities, and remove friction along the customer journey
- Revamp the Marketing dashboard with the right source data and visual presentation
- Provide weekly reports and insights to the wider Marketing team and Leadership
Required skills and attributes:
- 7+ years of proven experience in CRM and email marketing
- 1+ years of marketing experience with blockchain/Web3 projects
- Expertise in data analytics suites and data integration from different channels
- Expertise with A/B testing and continuous improvement
- Excellent copywriting skills and spoken English (bonus points for being multilingual).
- Hands-on, proactive and diligent
- Keen interest in Crypto, Blockchain, DeFi, AI (comfort using decentralized Crypto software such as wallets, DEXs, etc. a plus!)
- An analytical mindset and a proven track record in driving successful email marketing campaigns
- Be process-driven, detail-oriented but also pragmatic and service-focused
- Competent working in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to work in a remote, distributed team
Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000/yr
This position can be considered across multiple levels. Total compensation at DFINITY consists of base salary + generous bonus and is determined based on multiple factors including job leveling, areas of expertise, educational background, geographic location and overall experience.
