We are seeking an Associate Account Executive with earned media and influencer marketing experience to join our consumer lifestyle team. This position will be based in our NY office, currently remote.

An Associate Account Executive is the next step above an Account Coordinator. He/she is expected to understand and learn the business of the clients he/she works for and the marketplace it sells to. Assistant Account Executives perform fundamental PR tasks such as monitoring/assisting in the production of media related materials, media outreach, influencer relations and begin developing client relationships. This position is focused on developing the necessary skill set to become a successful PR practitioner.

What You'll Do:

Client

  • Manage client supplies, publications, resources and materials
  • Work with client on tactical issues as required by account team leaders
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed
  • Prepare client meeting reports and recaps
  • Responsible for client product/inventory closet and warehouse management

Media

  • Draft media relations materials including creative pitches, media lists and briefing documents
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and familiarity with media pitching and tour scheduling
  • Understand clients’ top-tier media and be able to identify trade and beauty/lifestyle editors
  • Monitor media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments, proactively flagging relevant news to account team
  • Manage media monitoring and coverage trackers accurately and promptly across assigned brands
  • Conduct media outreach and proactive follow-up: begin development of strong media relationships
  • Manage external vendors: briefing on project, maintaining deadlines and facilitating payment
  • Provide assistance with the logistics of events (eg: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.) and creative media mailers

Digital Influecner

  • Support identification and vetting of digital influencers for client campaigns
  • Experience on key social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and proficient on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Clubhouse
  • Track influencer content and performance metrics
  • Support team in ideating content ideas/post themes that are culturally relevant and applicable to brand priorities
  • Facilitate influencer payment and billing

Writing

  • Draft creative media pitches, abstracts, profiles, press kit materials and releases with strong grammar and attention to detail
  • Proof and edit client related documents as needed
  • Compose basic media plans and contribute to plan development processes (as needed)Team Participation
  • Balance workload between projects and account staff to ensure that all work is accurate and completed within established deadlines
  • Communicate frequently and appropriately with manager
  • Attend agency staff meetings and group meetings
  • Oversee interns and account coordinators as needed
  • Demonstrate keen organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once

Administrative Support

  • Track/enter time in a precise and timely manner
  • Open POs and manage invoices to facilitate payment for vendors and partners
  • Assist in weekly/monthly report preparation
  • Manage client product inventory
  • Conduct research for plan development
  • Research vendor costs for budget development
