This is a hybrid role and will require that you to be in the office 2-3 days a week in either Palo Alto, CA or our Austin, TX location.

As a Public Relations Specialist at DevRev, you will play a key role in shaping our external communications strategy and building positive relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and the public. You will be responsible for crafting compelling narratives, managing media inquiries, and executing strategic PR initiatives to enhance our brand visibility and reputation. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to promote the DevRev brand, products, and initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure media coverage and positive press for the company.
  • Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other press materials to targeted media outlets, coordinating media outreach efforts and managing media inquiries.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends, track PR metrics and performance, and provide regular reports and analysis to internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, and interviews, serving as a spokesperson for the company and effectively communicating key messages to the media and the public.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership, to align PR efforts with business objectives and ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Respond to crisis communications situations as needed, developing proactive strategies and messaging to manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Stay informed about industry news, market trends, and competitor activities, leveraging insights to inform PR strategies and identify opportunities for thought leadership and brand positioning.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles, preferably in the Enterprise Saas space.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage and generating positive press for brands, with strong relationships with media contacts and influencers.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, press releases, and other PR materials that resonate with target audiences.
  • Strong media relations skills, with experience pitching stories, managing media inquiries, and coordinating media interviews and events.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute integrated PR campaigns that support business goals and objectives.
  • Crisis communications experience, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to reputational challenges and manage stakeholder communications during crises.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
