Position Summary:
This is a part-time, freelance position. Camera operators will be a part of the Detroit Lions Scoreboard Crew and will be responsible for supporting the in-house production by covering game action as well as pregame, post-game, halftime, and game breaks. This position will take direction from the gameday Director and report to the Production Manager and Manager of Scoreboard and Broadcasting Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Arrive early to set up your camera
Must be able to build and strike broadcast cameras
Operate fixed or handheld cameras for scoreboard production
Main shots of game action and sponsored elements for in-stadium presentation
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience operating camera for live sporting events
Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
Ability and willingness to work flexible and non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in a control room / live production environment
Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time under stressful conditions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; an ability to convey messages articulately and efficiently during live events
General understanding of NFL rules, teams, and players is preferred
Must be able to carry/move/handle at least 50 pounds

Performs duties as workload necessitates
Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
To be considered for employment for the above position applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a High school Diploma or GED
Must be available to work all home games during the 2023 Detroit Lions season which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must pass a background check
