Position Summary:
This is a part-time, freelance position. Utilities will be a part of the Detroit Lions Scoreboard Crew and will be responsible for supporting in-house camera operators with all functions over the course of a gameday. This position will report to the Production Manager and Manager of Scoreboard and Broadcasting Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Follow roaming cameras to help keep the cable in safe placement
- Feed cable as camera operator needs
- Help guide camera operator if need be (ex. Walking backward)
- Follow leads from game day director and producer
- Must be able to properly wrap/reel 500ft of cable
- Help camera operators carry all necessary equipment ex. Microphones, spare batteries, and lights
- Help with striking cameras
- Gaffing down cables
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working in a control room/live production environment
- Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
- Ability and willingness to work flexible and non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a control room / live production environment
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time under stressful conditions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; an ability to convey messages articulately and efficiently during live events
- Must be available for all Detroit Lions home games
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to carry/move/handle at least 50 pounds

- Adhere to Detroit Lions Organization Policies and Procedures
- Performs duties as workload necessitates
- Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
To be considered for employment for the above position applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a High school Diploma or GED
- Must be available to work all home games during the 2023 Detroit Lions season which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass a background check
