Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and help maintain PyWerks, Adaptive’s upcoming open-source python development framework for graphics-first applications
  • Build and deploy next-generation tools that enable more efficient part design & high-throughput production on soon-to-be-released products, materials, and equipment
  • Prototype solution methodologies primarily using Python, C, & C++
  • Build & own continuous integration infrastructure to expedite rapid development
  • Establish user acceptance testing protocols for internally released alpha builds
  • Deploy code for distributed computing through cloud infrastructures (i.e. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, GCP)
  • Work within sprints that adhere to agile methodologies

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience writing in C++ & Python on production-grade code

Familiarized with additive manufacturing (i.e. experience using 3D printers, designing lattices, knowledge of different types of additive manufacturing processes)

Experience working with Git, recursive data trees, and sorting/searching algorithms

Experience working with Machine Learning algorithms like planning or reinforcement-learning

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development cycle

Pluses:

Experience building/developing/testing video games or other “graphics-first” applications

Basic understanding of CAD for 3D design (SolidWorks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, or similar)

Basic understanding of kinematics, structural design, actuation, fatigue, and stress-driven failure

Experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other distributed compute clusters

Proven capabilities in multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines

Exceptional attention to detail and engineering discipline

Experience with DLP-based 3D printing
